Description:
Weta Collectibles is proud to present a new range of collectible polystone sculptures celebrating the release of the first installment of "The Chronicles of Narnia", Disney's The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe, directed by Kiwi, Andrew Adamson. These collectibles are hand sculpted at Weta Workshop by the same team of artists who designed the armour, weapons and many of the creatures for the film.
Fearful for his life, the humble Faun, Mr Tumnus, finds himself in a confusing and desperate situation. Part man, part goat, this fragile and shy creature must decide whether to risk a fate worse than death by defying the White Witch, or betray the trust of an innocent little girl, Lucy Pevensie, by turning her over to the Witch's minions.
In spite of his timid nature and fragile stature, Mr Tumnus finds courage and resolve within himself that he never imagined and has a pivotal part to play in the uprising against the Witch's rule.
Design Maquettes are quick sculptures used to refine the design of a creature beyond drawings and paintings, allowing the concept to be realised in a three dimensional form.
The Mr. Tumnus Maquette is close to the final form the character takes in the film and has been cast directly off the original maquette used by Andrew Adamson and the Weta Workshop team during the design phase. It measures aproximately 17.5-inches tall (445mm) x 8-inches wide (203mm) x 7-inches long (178mm).
